Rachel Amanda merupakan salah satu dari artis cilik yang populer di awal tahun 2000-an. Sebut saja beberapa sinetron dan film yang telah dibintanginya antara lain Candy, Kejora Dan Bintang hingga Heart.
Namun pada tahun 2014, ketika dirinya berusia 19 tahun, Rachel divonis menderita penyakit kanker tiroid. Benjolan yang ada di lehernya, membuat Rachel menjadi pengidap kanker tiroid termuda saat itu. Semakin lama tubuh Rachel semakin kurus. Untungnya, penyakit itu segera ditangani dengan baik. Rachel sampai menjalani operasi untuk mengangkat benjolannya itu.
Pasca operasi, rupanya Rachel mulai menata hidupnya kembali. Rachel memutuskan untuk menjalani gaya hidup sehat. Soal karir, Rachel berhasil menerbitkan buku puisi hasil kolaborasi dengan beberapa temannya.
Tak hanya itu, Rachel juga kembali aktif di dunia hiburan. Tahun 2017 kemarin, Rachel membintangi film horor berjudul Sajen. Penyakit kanker yang dideritanya, tak membuat Rachel melupakan pendidikan. Bahkan belum lama ini, gadis berusia 23 tahun ini, baru saja menyelesaikan pendidikan S1 di Universitas Indonesia jurusan Psikologi.
